Over the past few years, I’ve had many therapists, coaches, and IFS practitioners reach out for one-on-one coaching. A number of them also expressed interest in joining a consultation group like the IFS Coaches Lab I once envisioned. While that specific group didn’t take off as expected, the feedback I received helped me see something deeper—and more aligned—with the real needs of this community.
Here’s what I’ve come to realize, and how it’s shaping my work going forward:
🔹 A greater need has emerged. Coaches, therapists, and IFS practitioners aren’t just looking for case consultation—they're craving ongoing support, connection, and guidance through the lens of Internal Family Systems. Whether trained in the model or just IFS-curious, what many truly want is to be held in a consistent, nurturing space by a skilled IFS facilitator and like-minded peers.
🔹 I already have a structure that works. Over the past year, I’ve facilitated three successful groups—the IFS Masters Group, the Women’s Recovery Group, and the Men’s Recovery Group—and discovered a rhythm and session structure that works beautifully. So why not apply that same format to support this community of practitioners?
🔹 Introducing: The Parts Work for Practitioners Coaching Group. This group is designed for therapists, coaches, and IFS-informed practitioners seeking a deep, experiential approach to integrating IFS in their personal and professional lives. You’ll receive steady, skillful group support—with optional one-on-one sessions for those who want to go deeper.
🔹 Group coaching is now my sweet spot. As I turn 70 (with the energy of a 30-year-old!), I’m focusing my time and energy on what I love most—group coaching. It’s powerful, effective, and transformational. It also allows me to support more people in less time, while still offering occasional individual sessions for depth work.
🔹 A growing network of trusted practitioners. As I scale back on individual coaching sessions, I’m seeking skilled, Self-led coaches and therapists I can confidently refer prospective clients to. I hope to build that network from within the Parts Work for Practitioners Coaching Group—and possibly from the IFS Coaches Lab if that group takes root in the future.
🔹 Looking ahead. My vision is to have six active groups running by the end of 2025 and to offer 18–24 individual coaching sessions each month. I’m also exploring the idea of a monthly Q&A/Consultation Workshop for coaches who want to integrate IFS into their practice—so stay tuned.
